Another exciting starlet joins the academy…
And this time it’s Bobby Adekanye, the 16-year-old winger who was owned by Barcelona but shone on loan for PSV in his home country Holland last term.
Because Barcelona acquired the Nigerian born wonderkid without both his parents moving to Spain, he wasn’t allowed to represent them before the age of 16 – and although the European champions wanted to keep him – he chose to join Liverpool to maximise his chances of a fast development into professional football.
The youngster posted this picture of himself on Instagram today, signing his first deal with us.
Hopefully he can follow in the footsteps of fellow prodigious young wingers Raheem Sterling and Jordon Ibe from our youth sides into our first-team squad.
We wish him enormous luck.
