Fan Opinion : Don’t worry about a thing, cause every little thing gonna be alright

It is very difficult to take positives from this week’s disappointing Europa League final defeat, especially, when most of Liverpool’s supporters thought the cup was theirs, including myself for that matter.

After the knocking out our great rivals Manchester United, and beating a class side like Borussia Dortmund on the way to the final, we all thought we would win the final.

But football has a habit of biting you on the backside when you least expect it, and we got a nasty chunk taken out of our left bum-cheek in the second half of the final.

Some dodgy refereeing aside, which could have seen us two or three goals up at half-time, we crumbled meekly into submission as Sevilla came from behind to deservedly win their third consecutive Europa League title.

The disappointment after leading at half-time is unbearable, and the thought of having no European football next season is a double whammy for Liverpool.

But Liverpool have Jurgen Klopp as manager and that is reason enough for supporters to be optimistic for the club’s future.

Liverpool finished a lowly 8th position in the league, but managed to get to two cup finals in the seven months since Klopp took charge at Liverpool.

Cup runs and a horrendous run of injuries put paid to finishing higher up the league for Liverpool, but Klopp got so much out of this squad of players that he inherited, and in all honesty they overachieved to get to two cup finals.

Klopp managed to get his team to produce some amazing performances and results, but with the lack of quality in the squad he couldn’t get them to produce it consistently.

But now we are into the summer, and Klopp can finally get the chance to build his own team by bringing in his own players, and he will.

No European football is a financial loss to the club, but Klopp won’t have so many games next season and it will give him more time to work with his players in training, and that should be more beneficial to Liverpool’s chances in the league.

The last seven months has been a transitional period and for Klopp to get Liverpool to two cup finals just whets the appetite for the future.

I think I can hear that Bob Marley classic playing.
