A left-back has been high on our priority list, with a number of players being linked with an Anfield switch. Jurgen Klopp clearly wanted to bring the promising young Englishman Chilwell to the club, but with Leicester valuing him a little too highly we’re now looking at bringing the 22-year-old Brazilian Douglas Santos.
The report suggests Atletico Mineiro are demanding somewhere in the region of €10m, but we’re keen to pay something closer to the €8m mark.
