(Video) Women’s Ballon d’Or holder & Liverpool fan tries to speak Scouse

The world’s best female footballer, Carli Lloyd, has been interviewed by LFCTV on our pre-season Tour of the United States.

The team’s currently training at Stanford University, and met up the 34-year-old Ballon d’Or holder for a quick chat, after the midfield legend admitted her support of the Reds!

She hadn’t however heard of ‘scouse’ or ‘scousers’, which made us wonder how much of a supporter she really is! Her attempts to speak and interpret the dialect were not very successful, but with two Olympic Golds, a World Cup and over 220 caps to her name, we’re not sure Lloyd will mind too much.

Lloyd also said one of her dreams would be to visit Anfield, and we hope every supporter from abroad one day makes the pilgrimage and checks it out first hand – especially a footballer with such pedigree.
