False alarm, everyone!
There was uproar around the web yesterday as a tweet from The S*n’s “Dream Team FC” Twitter account appeared to suggest that Bet Victor had a partnership with them.
However, the firm – who are the official sponsors of our training ground gear – swiftly denied the links in a tweet:
Clearly, we are pretty relieved about this. It would have been monumentally stupid of the club and the gambling firm to have such an obvious link with such a despised brand.
But it does beg the question, why were The S*n tweeting about Bet Victor in the first place?
Was it a deliberate attempt to antagonise the Liverpool fan base and stir up trouble? Were the people in charge of the social media accounts unaware that the deal between the two companies had come to an end?
