Liverpool’s expected XI v Watford: Jurgen Klopp to make two changes for Hornets clash

Liverpool are expected to make two changes from the side that beat Crystal Palace 4-2 last weekend.

James Milner will come in for Alberto Moreno at left-back and Gini Wijnaldum will replace Emre Can in central midfield.

This is actually as close to ‘first-choice’ as Liverpool get now, under Jurgen Klopp.

That means Simon Mignolet, Moreno, Can, Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge among the seven subs…

Five of these players started the away fixture against Watford last term. Clyne played right-back, Henderson was more advanced centrally, while Lallana, Coutinho and Firmino toiled up top. Now, with the help of Sadio Mane, they’re the most ruthless attack in the Premier League.

Manchester City drew at home to Middlesbrough yesterday, which makes picking up three points even more beneficial. If Arsenal fail to win the North London Derby, a win means we’ll be top outright going into the last international break of the calendar year.

Bring it on!
