Ridiculous statistic shows how busy Liverpool’s January actually is

Posted by

We’ve already played two matches in January; and one on New Year’s Eve against Manchester City to boot.

Following our FA Cup 3rd round draw with Plymouth, we have a replay next week, meaning Liverpool have six more matches to navigate before the month is out.

Southampton, United, Plymouth, Swansea, Southampton again and then Chelsea.

Considering it’s already January 10th, that’s incredible.

In the entirety of February and March, we also have six games scheduled – currently.

That’s the same number of games in 20 days as in 60.

Obviously a few more will be added during the next two months if we progress in the FA Cup and EFL Cup, but right now, the statistic is alarming.

Injuries have blighted our season heavily, and with Sadio Mane at the AFCON, we’re down to the bare bones.

Thankfully, Coutinho, Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip should be back imminently to aid our cause, with the Brazilian sensation out for around seven weeks already.

We haven’t had European football to navigate during the first half of the campaign, so hopefully our first-teamers will be able to stay fit, fresh – and most importantly: winning.

Chelsea are five points clear at the top, and with fixtures against United and the leaders this month, we can’t afford any slip-ups.
