Liverpool are trying to poach two of Barcelona’s most promising La Masia Academy prospects…
According to Spanish publication SPORT, we’re considering making an offer for wonderkid winger Jordi Mboula and left-back Marc Cucurella.
Their report suggests that Barcelona cannot offer the teenagers first-team football anytime soon and their heads can be turned as a result.
Mboula is incredibly quick and skilful, scoring this jaw-dropping goal against Borussia Dortmund in the youth Champions League earlier this season. He’s 17 and has made appearances for Barcelona B this campaign as well.

Cucurealla is 18 and is interesting in that he used to be an out and out no.10, before switching his technical skill to an offensive left-back role. (How much does that say about the demands of a modern fullback?)
Both Manchester clubs are keen on the youngsters though, so our chances of doing a deal are slim.
We’ve often looked to La Masia to buy players, with Dani Pacheco, Bobby Adekanye and Juanma all educated at the famous Academy. Perhaps these two will become the next.
