Liverpool fans have reacted after we were drawn against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals in Nyon on Friday afternoon.
In what is undoubtedly the stand-out tie of the round, we’ll have our hands full against Pep Guardiola’s side who continue to lead the way in the Premier League and have ambitions of a treble this season.

However, we did secure a thrilling 4-3 win over them at Anfield the last time we met, and as we prepare to welcome them back to Merseyside for the first leg on either April 3 or 4, Jurgen Klopp and Co. will hopefully be able to take a strong advantage into the second leg the following week.
One thing that does stand in our favour is our pedigree on the European stage, and having had so many memorable European nights at Anfield, we’ll hopefully make that count.
That’s easier said than done though as Guardiola knows this competition very well and has quality in his team, and so there’s been a mixed reaction on Twitter following the draw.
Many have rightfully remained confident in our chances, while others have slammed UEFA as the only two English sides remaining in the competition meet immediately.
To be the best in Europe, we’ve got to beat the best. It should be a fascinating tie.
Elsewhere, Barcelona will take on Roma, Sevilla face Bayern Munich and Juventus meet Real Madrid.
Let’s show them what a proper European night looks like! #YNWA #6Times

Two great European powerhouses drawn against each other with 5 Champions league titles between them.

Astounds me that the three Spanish clubs avoided each other and we got drawn against the only other English opposition. But I stan, to be the best you gotta beat the best!

Disaster… We still have to secure top 4, whereas City can rest players in between matches

Weird draw. Spain draws different countries each game, they fix the 2 UK teams.
