Everyone in football is picking a side tonight, and you can tell a lot about them by whether they’re going with us or the opposition!
While Liverpool have a superb reputation across Europe, Real are less popular, so it’s no surprise to see plenty of big names siding with us – especially those who have had bad experiences against Los Blancos in recent times.
You can count Giorgio Chiellini among that number. The defender was part of the Juventus team that roared back in that superb comeback at the Bernabeu, only to lose to an extra time penalty blasted home by Cristiano Ronaldo.

No surprise then that the monstrous centre-back’s father has revealed that he and his son will be supporting the Reds tonight, rather than the “unlikable” opposition, as he describes them. Welcome to the bandwagon lads! There’s room for plenty more – although not in Kiev by the sounds of things.
We wouldn’t mind having his son lining up in our defence tonight either!
