Liverpool want to buy one of the best 15-year-olds in the country, right now.
Luke Matheson of Rochdale was superb in the Checkatrade Trophy win over Bury this week and was awarded Man of the Match, having that day just returned back to secondary school!

The right-back wowed with his technical ability and was given enormous praise by Rochdale boss Keith Hill.
“Luke Matheson – wow,” he told the club’s official website.“He was outstanding. We know what he can do. It’s not a leap of faith, because we know what he can do. The supporters were receptive to Luke, and the players are and were as well.”
We’ve never seen Matheson play, and can barely remember being 15, but for him to be playing pro-football at that age suggests he’s got something about him!
Liverpool are always in the market for the best talent in the country and have an incredible Academy right now.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is a starter and it won’t be long before Curtis Jones and Rhian Brewster are too.
Luke Matheson is 15 & only started back at school yest after summer hols. Last night he had to come on for Rochdale at right-back after 15 mins as they beat Bury 2-1.
