Liverpool’s U19s strolled into the Last 16 of the UEFA Youth League with a very impressive demolition of Napoli two days ago.
Goals from Rafael Camacho, Liam Millar, Paul Glatzel, Curtis Jones and Bobby Duncan saw us stroll through the encounter against what in truth was a lacklustre opponent.
Jones completely ran the show in the middle of the park and capped off his superb performance with a left-footed goal, but the match’s best was from substitute Bobby Duncan, who smashed in with his left foot from outside of the area.
It won’t be long before Duncan follows in Jones’s footsteps and starts playing every week for the U23s.
Both are scousers with immense talent and we’d love them to take inspiration from Trent Alexander-Arnold and eventually become part of the first-team squad.
Liverpool U19s: Jaros, N. Williams, Lewis (Boyes), R. Williams, Hoever, Coyle (Clarkson), Millar, Cain (Dixon-Bonner), Glatzel (Duncan), Jones, Camacho (Longstaff).
