Liverpool U23s are not finding going in Premier League 2 quite as easy as they did last term.
The team’s best player last season, Harry Wilson, is now tearing up the Championship instead, while Ben Woodburn is also on loan, with Rhian Brewster injured and not yet playing a minute of football this campaign.
But on Monday night, the team drew 1-1 with Spurs, thanks to a very nice goal from Northern Irish youngster Liam Coyle.
The attacker curled the ball excellently into the far corner of the net and earned us a point.
While he was doing so, however, the likes of Ki-Jana Hoever, Curtis Jones and Rafa Camacho were turning out for the seniors – which shows which Academy prospects have a genuine chance of consistently playing for the first-team one day.
