Reds fans will love Van Dijk’s message ahead of title run-in

Virgil van Dijk says he is looking forward to the title run-in – and has vowed to give everything to make sure the Reds have something tangible to show for their efforts this season when it comes to a close.

By the time Tottenham come to Anfield on Sunday, Manchester City are likely to be top of the table again if they get all three points against Fulham on Saturday lunchtime, but that is no reason for the Reds to feel the pressure.

Van Dijk, certainly, will be one of those relishing the task of competing with Pep Guardiola’s side from now until the end of the season.

Via LiverpoolFC.com, the Netherlands defender said: “The ultimate thing would be winning something with Liverpool and we still have any chance to win it, so let’s just go for it.

“The most important thing is to enjoy it. We have to give it our all and make sure we have no regrets at the end of it.”

Enjoying the ride applies to fans as well as players – sometimes it’s good to take a step back and leave the stress behind, as hard as that can be, to just drink it in for a second.

We love that Van Dijk thinks the ultimate achievement would be to win the league with the Reds. What a signing he has been since he arrived – if we do get over the line, he might just pick up Premier League Player of the Year award.
