(Video) Curtis Jones too cool to celebrate as prodigy scores for LFC v Tranmere

Liverpool battered Tranmere 6-0 yesterday evening in a very comfortable pre-season friendly, which involved a plethora of youngsters.

Rhian Brewster scored a brace, Divock Origi bagged in his first match after the Champions League Final, with Nathaniel Clyne, Bobby Duncan and Curtis Jones all finding the back of the net as well.

In truth, it was a rout. We’ve covered all the goals and you can find write-ups, analysis and everything in between on our homepage.

18-year-old Jones made it 4-0 in the second-half, following excellent work from Origi and Ben Woodburn down the right flank.

First, the Belgian held the ball up superbly before placing it for the Welsh youngster to cross. Jones arrived at the back-post and buried it – before nonchalantly walking off.

Jones has a certain swagger on a football field – in that he knows how good he is already – and we love it.
