Curtis Jones has put the U23s 2-1 up after just under half an hour this evening, as Neil Critchley’s side play Southampton in Premier League 2.
The goal, though, was largely the work of Spanish midfielder Pedro Chirivella, who slotted through a wonderful pass into his path.
The finish was slightly fortunate, but Chirivella’s ball deserved to be finished, and it was.
