Curtis Jones was a real credit to himself last night.
The 18-year-old was awarded Man of the Match by Sky Sports after an impressive display in which he regularly got on the ball, played sharp passes and looked to make things happen progressively.
The likes of Rhian Brewster and Harvey Elliott are more highly regarded, but last night, Jones was best.
Afterwards he gave a nervy post-match interview alongside James Milner – but if anything – it made us like him more.
He didn’t need to explain why afterwards, but did so anyway when a fan wondered if he had a stutter – not that this would have bothered anybody anyway.
Not a stutter, just nervous being put straight on the spot!😁 https://t.co/aPhlHEqT9Q

He also posted a classy celebratory post – something we hope he’ll do time and time again over the next decade!
Jurgen Klopp should keep Jones in the lineup for the 4th Round tie with Arsenal – let’s see if he can do the job at Anfield.
Great to be back out there with the seniors. Happy with the performance and most importantly through to the next round. Congrats to Ki on his first goal for @LFC . Also happy to have got Man Of The Match😁! #lfc pic.twitter.com/RD6FzWJrEM
