James Barlow
I was born in Mtarfa, Malta, 2nd of February 1975, to English parents from Birmingham, who were there while his Father was in the Royal Air Force, spent my school life moving from base to base in the UK and a 3 year stint in Hong Kong. My family finally settled in Huntingdon near Cambridge and I know work for The University of Cambridge as a Research Technician in the department of Plant Sciences. Married to an Aussie, Phoebe who is from Western Victoria in the Grampians, she is now an avid Liverpool fan and hates Aussie rules!
While living in North Wales in 1982, I started taking in football, but my Dad is an Aston Villa supporter. I never did such a thing and have supported Liverpool from the start. We do have a top flight connection in the family, my Great Uncle Ray Barlow played for West Bromwich Albion in the 50’s, won an FA CUP and has 1 England cap, http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/albion-legends/2008/01/15/albion-legends-ray-barlow-97319-20390471/
My interests in life are LFC, swimming, running, Rugby, I also play Rugby for Huntingdon Stags. I did used to play football, right and left wing, right full back and now and then Striker. Also enjoy watching movies, comedy and documentaries, as well as sci-fi, thrillers and drama. I don’t read much, but when I do find a book I like it’s doesn’t take long to get through it. Love visiting new countries and of course going back to my country of birth Malta.
As I am a 80’s kid, it would be no surprise if I said John Barnes was my favourite, but I must add the all LFC players are my favourites. When I post on EOTK, I write about what I think could be done or could have done to improve a poor performance, when I slate a player it does not mean I hate them or think they are rubbish , just that they were not right for that game.
Enjoy the games, good and bad YNWA!
