Highly-rated argentine linked to Liverpool…

The Mirror has loudly claimed that we’re going to consider a January move for Villarreal hitman Luciano Vietto…

The Argentine is just 21-years-old, but his form this season has seen him dubbed ‘The new Sergio Aguero’ in La Liga.

In just eight starts and seven appearances from the bench, he’s notched seven La Liga goals, and he’s bagged three more in the Europa League, too. He’s also registered five assists in all competitions, demonstrating his all-round creative ability.

The report reckons he’ll be available for as little as £12m, due to his club’s financial difficulties.

Vietto has represented the Argentina Under-20 side on four occasions, in which he’s bagged twice. He moved to Villarreal from Racing in the summer of 2014 on a five-year contract, but due to his outstanding form in Spain – could be on the move again soon.

In style; he’s small, stocky, has very quick feet and likes a tackle – so it’s no surprise that the comparisons with Aguero and even Luis Suarez have arisen. He is however hopeless in the air, and the physicality could certainly be a shock to him if he were to sign in the future.
