There’s plenty of footballers not quick witted enough to reply to any kind of insult thrown at them, but sadly for El Hadji Diouf, Jamie Carragher isn’t one of them.
The horrible Senegalese made some awful comments about Carragher that went viral this morning, branding our legendary former centre-back a “f*cking loser” and claiming: “The difference between Jamie and me is that I am a world-class player and he is a s***,” (via the Mirror).
Instead of getting drawn into a war of words which he would have easily won given their polar opposite career success, Carragher instead noted that he’s actually bagged more Premier League goals than his ‘rival’ for Liverpool!
The other big difference is he’s scored less goals for LFC in the Premier League than me! (Not counting OG’s!!) https://t.co/dwEA56c7NA

In total, Carra notched four and Diouf bagged three, with the African becoming the first no.9 in Liverpool’s history to go an entire campaign without finding the back of the net in the process.
Diouf played in 55 Premier League matches for Liverpool, making his statistics all the more abysmal – although Carra’s 508 league matches should probably have warranted a few more at the right end as well!
We really hope Diouf calls it a day right now and takes his medicine.
