Reds around the world, Malaysia

Posted by

The Official Liverpool Supporters Club Malaysia (LSCM) is based in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city but we have members spread out through the length and breadth of Malaysia; down south to Johor or up north to Penang and Kedah and even to the land beneath the wind at Sabah.

The LSCM had its humble beginnings in 1995 and proceeded with a re-launch in August 2000. Since then, there has been close to 6000 registered members of which approximately 20% are regulars who renew their membership diligently.

This season, we opened our doors to a new category of members called the Kop Juniors (below 18years) and Kop NexGen (between 18-23years), in addition to the Kopites (above 23years).

As for Live Match Gatherings, the LSCM has a couple of venues in the Klang Valley like Cobra Club and Baywatch. It has attracted Reds from far and near as we rejoice and suffer with our team throughout the years.

Perseverance has always been the catch-phrase, and even for some of us who are unable to cheer together with the Kopite Brethren… each of us in our own niche has felt the drama that our beloved team provides.

Yet we always look ahead in hope… with an eye on the golden sky… at the end of the storm.

And we walk on, yes… certainly we walk on… through the wind and the rain.

And though our dreams be tossed and blown…

WE STILL WALK ON… WALK ON…

WITH HOPE IN OUR HEARTS… for WE’LL NEVER WALK ALONE !!!! WE’LL NEVER WALK ALONE !!!

  1. Absolutely sound this lot is. In 2006 my wife and I were in KL and were made to feel really welcome during the Liverpool Watford match. Drank a load of beer and couldn’t understand their accents at all. It was great.

  2. James, its alright if you didnt understand our accents, neither could we understand yours. But fret not, my fellow brethren in red, all we need to speak is a universal language of football.
And LFC brings us together in that. Glad you had a good time down in KL. “Cheers”!
