Babel is a joke. He has quality, but his head is in his arse. Obviously, Rafa wasnt seeing enough in training to pick him, prior to his embarressing rant. We can’t have this type of personality in our club in a time when everything needs to be kept in house and the players and the fans need to stick together.
I liked Babel don’t get me wrong. But his perfomances when he has played haven’t been good enough for the last two years. You can’t blame Rafa for a bad signing either. Babel showed kwality in his first season, but he faded. I’ve lost all respect for Babel. Moaning when he isnt getting played, and then wanting to get off the pitch when he is injured.
As for the ‘retarded comment’, totally disgraceful. This is the man who stayed here for less money, turned down Real Madrid, and stayed for the club and the fans. Now the fans are calling him retarded! If he left, there’s no one we can get in. The only change would be a change in tactics. But the tactics used are largely unchanged from last season. The fans criticising Rafa seem to be the ones who don’t know a whole lot, or they are the fans of other clubs moaning about our manager!

Why some fans think Babel is the answer to everything god only knows. Yes he has potential, but it’s just that – potential. The guy quite clearly has the building blocks (ability) but unfortunately no cement (attitude) to put them together. I think fans views are skewed because of the reputation he came with.

justin you should show babels 2 efforts after the goal against lyon. then you’ll see how frustrating he is. he has done nothing to deserve a place in the first team. to wear the liverpool shirt you must give 100% effort. babel never does. he played all the 2nd half and extra time against reading and did what? nothing.
We have better players playing in the team such as Ngog and Kuyt who cant control the ball or pass 5 yards without giving it away,and a left back playing left mid.Unfortunately Babel is finished with LFC, I often wonder how good he would be now if he was at Arsenal under Wenger.
N’gog’s scored more goals than Babel, he’s much better going forward.
