With that being said, I’d like to be an inconsiderate journalist, and start a rumor for myself. I’d like to say Albert Riera is being transferred to Siberia FC of the GFFYL (Go Fudge Yourself League). People talk about Wayne Rooney looking like a Disney character, but Riera looks like a Tim Burton character. And with his mouth (Riera that is) he could end up being a villain too. He’s one of those players who we’ll love to see leave Anfield.
Anyone else impressed with LFCTV like I am? (Yeah I know I’m going back on a subject I already talked about) I just subscribed for it online per me being American. And I have to give it an A+ for content, most of that is the history section on there for me. Growing up in an area that didn’t have great sports coverage anyway, I never saw the teams of the 80’s, and even when we were able to get the matches, my parents moved. Though the move helped me more than hurt. LFCTv’s history section has somewhat caught me up to 1999, and I have seen the specials on Istanbul.
I’m not going to ever question a manager’s tactics because I don’t have my badges, or know enough about football to question Rafa. However, are we getting sick with the number of times people complain about him? Oh and anytime some great manager wins another important match, he’s linked to Liverpool? Folks, he’s what we have, and he doesn’t have the money to reel in a Messi or Aguero.
My dad has his badges and works for Bolton Wanderers Academy as a coach who puts scouted youngsters through training exercises to evaluate whether they should be sent to the next level.
And he used to work as a coach for Bobby Charlton soccer schools.
My point here is… he has his badges and he criticizes Rafa… then you look at the other premier league managers, I actually can’t remember one complimenting Rafa.
Nevertheless, the main reason for my post here is that you say everyone would love to see Riera leave? Well I’m sorry but I disagree.
True he has not done so well this season… but since his injury he hasn’t really had a chance to play. True again he played pathetically against Unirea (but our whole team played bad against Wigan and no-ones insulting all the players then), but he’s put some good attacking options into games where he has came on as a sub.
But onto a more serious note… Riera looks more like Quagmire as the facebook group says haha
As for the rumours, I couldn’t agree more with you as they do add some interesting factors to the game.
Although, it makes me wonder… maybe we here should make a more realistic rumour and see if it actually does carry on. It would show if any other forms of media are checking up on this site and maybe how desperate they are to post stuff.
It would be a laugh to see what happens through it though lol
