Liverpool fans are sick of the word ‘specualtion’, but for this writing it is basically ‘speculation’, but just wanted to share with you all what I have heard.
A Liverpool fan page, similar to Empire Of The Kop, yesterday published news as to why Rafa Benitez was axed or asked to leave.
The creator of the website claimed that the reason why Rafa’s depature happened was because of a potential take over of the club. He claims his name is Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is the brother of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan who owns Manchester City, meaning if the take over does happen, Liverpool would be up there with City and Chelsea financially.
Apparently negotiations between himsefl and Christian Purlow are under way, and the deal is now down to the owners accepting the deal, which is expected to happen within the next 5 weeks, regarding the owners’ acceptance.
The guy who publsihed this says its come from a source who are normally right and very relaible. I don’t think its right for me to reveal which fans page I got this from.
Personally, its a case of ‘I’ll believe it when I see it”, I just wanted to let you all know as its expected for this news to filter through to the press in the next few days. Its not a done deal, so don’t get too ecxited.

I desperately want to believe this, I really do. Several things are stopping me personally, however, firstly, there have been too many of these rumours that turn out to be nothing at all. Secondly, and I don’t want to cause offense to you, but it seems odd you can’t name the source – a public source, after all – maybe this lends more weight to the rumour, though… One thing I am sure about: I’m WAY too excited to sleep tonight, it reminds me of the run-up to christmas when I was a kid!

Rafa left because he wanted to. He had a contract, and quote a handsome one at that. He failed to deliver this past season and his last parting shot was his ‘guarantee’ we would get CL football, which did not materialise as well, and which was our minimum objective for the season.
He saw the opening at Inter, and went for it. Good Luck to Him. Let’s not drag this on for months. He will always be part of our history, but now, he IS history.

Well here’s the gossip I heard today…. From an ex Player ( TV pundit)….. There is nobody showing interest in buying the club at the moment…. Also, at the first meeting Rafa had with the Chelsea fan, he was told to leave and at the 2nd meeting he sorted a £4m payoff…… Also, that Dalglish has heard nothing from the club to say he has the task of finding a new manager…..don’t shoot the messenger!!

Umm He spent 20m on an injured player. So he did have money to spend. He, as per usual, spent rather unwisely. That is why he is gone. His transfer process is appaling. Sure he got it right once, with Torres. But dang he got wrong so many times. And let go of top quality players who are now flourishing at other clubs. That is why he is gone. No need to cry anymore tears. Glad to see a new day dawn for LFC….
I’d love to believe that rumour but I’ve heard so many over the last few years and always got excited that I don’t bother anymore. Will believe it when the Americans finally have gone, not a minute before.
Apart from that, to compare Koptalk to EOTK is an offense to Antoine’s efforts and brilliant work.
