Who do you believe was Roy’s best signing this Summer?
I am not including Shelvey, Jovanovic & Wilson as there transfer process was started before Roy came over.

  1. He didn’t have much to do with Cole’s signing either, did he? Harry was lauding Cole as a player, convinced he had him signed for Spuds, you could hear him at every interview going into the WC saying as much. Then Carra and Stevie did their bit, when no manager had access to the England camp, and Joe came back to the UK and virtually immediately signed for us.

I don’t think Cole was much more a ‘Roy signing’ than Jova, he simply had to ratify both.

  2. meireles is a decent signing. the rest were atrocious! roy needs to leave in order for liverpool to be competitive

  3. Meireles is very good but Hodgsons’ best signing was convincing Purslow he was up to the task and therefore signed himself up to manage the club getting anywhere between £2-3million a year in remuneration.

  4. meireles and aurelio only if roy give aurelio chance as he give konchesky then he would see that diffrence is clear aurelio is good just becos of injure and now he return bench konchesky for him.

  5. how can anyone conclusively state which is the best after 5 months! Meireles has shown the most promise though..

  6. I also think its Raul. He did pretty well so far. Worst signing was Poulsen. Just look at his perfomances… they were only bad.

  7. Konchesky has been the worst – too many of the goals we have been conceeding have been down to errors he has made!
Raul has made a real impact and can run the game, Im just waiting on him and Stevie to gel properly, then we’ll have a real midfield force!!

  8. i haven’t voted but can’t argue with the result. Cole will come good but meireles is quality. I think we have reason for optimism. The team is improving and we look more attack minded with 2 strikers. Next 2 purchases are crucial to us.

  9. Absolutely Raul is the one. But that doesn’t mean he is the only one. Aurelio, Cole and Jones could be the good ones as well, only they need to have more time to prove it. Konchesky has improved in his last match, but I prefer to play Aurelio instead. Poulsen was good when we beat West Ham, but that wasn’t too good to impress us.
