I’ve seen Suarez play since his days at Nacional, the team he started with in Uruguay as a kid before moving to Holland. It’s a shame people still talk about his handball in the World Cup though. Let’s be honest with each other here, Would you have done the same? I know I would have. In a split second, In order to get my country into the semi finals I would of done anything. Yes many of you would call me a cheat but I promise you if you had been in the situation, right at that second you would of done the same for Liverpool let alone your country.

He’s a player that celebrates his goals like they might be his last which is another reason why the KOP will absolutely adore him. I’m delighted and excited for the future of Liverpool. We have new owners that at least to this day have made decisions that only benefit Liverpool. King Kenny is back and with this guidance we will be on top, it’s only a matter of time. Hopefully tomorrow we will get a small glimpse of what this scoring machine will do for us.

Another thing you guys won’t see me here bitch and moan daily about the players we have, like some “Liverpool” fans do. We can be frustrated but let’s be reasonable and when posting show us some substance in your arguments. YNWA!!

  1. Well said. The way he s been talked about in the media is if SCORED with his hand. Its amazing how just one isolated incident can be blown out of proportion. Ive wanted Suarez to join Liverpool for over a year now as I think he could be the next great kop idol. Losing Torres was a big blow but hopefully Carrol can bring something new to the table. I know Suarez certainly will

  2. Good blog.
Luis is a winner, Liverpool’s fans will love him, is not mediatic like Torres but is a player with a huge heart.

  3. Hi John, what is luis’s best position? everybody seems to be under the impression hes an out and out striker but having read an ajax fans article last week, it seems as though he’s one who can play off a front man or in the wide areas as im pretty certain ajaz play a sort of chelsea style 433, wherehe plays on the left but with freedom to roam, so do you think he will just slot into kenny’s 4231 that we are currently seeing either in maxi’s or raul meirelles position or do you think now he will play 442 and play him alongside carroll?

Only reason i ask is because under hodgson we always looked vulnerable defensively when playing 442 and since reverting back to the old benitez 4231 we have seen an upturn in reults.

Also one last question if we do play 442 would you consider playin gerrard out on the right, i feel there are still question marks about his positional discipline when playing in the centre and i think hes one of the best crossers in the prem, so he could create some great chances for our new number 9, who according to arry redknapp is the best header of a ball in the prem? could then have meirelles and lucas in middle but lacking a genuine wideman on the left still but going back to gerrard, barton also has excellant delivery and i think most people have seen the type of goals carroll can score when decent balls are put into the box. ynwa

  4. I really hope Suarez makes the grade at Liverpool, he’s a busy committed player who should work well within the ethos that KK seems to be working towards.. that is that you have to play with passion, show commitment and believe in your team mates.
Fernando, a fantastic player, often looked a solitary character on the field and the constant, referals that his team mates were not good enough wether from him or not didn’t help the cause.

  5. delighted to have him we need a player who looks like he gets nothing but joy from being on a pitch and i dont hope he will do it for us i know he will just hope with the one who s name i wont speak after his comments that two much pressure is put on luis right away giv him a few games first

  6. Watching this past WC and paying close attention to Uruguay (most exciting team to me), I really wanted to see either Suarez, Cavani or both at Liverpool. Now that we have Suarez, I am excited to see what he can accomplish with the Liverbird upon his chest.

  7. Uruguay has great history, they already won World Cup two times already, more than England did :)

  8. Mate, Uruguay is one of the greatest football nations on earth. Hands down.
In fact, many people worldwide follow the national team as if they were a club. My mate is Scottish and follows them more than his own national team.

    3.5 million
-2 World Cups (Including first ever hosts and winners. That alone makes you a legendary team for all time).
    – 5x World Cup Semi finalists!!!! . This is insane. Argentina only has 4. England only has 2. This country is smaller than some ghettos in Brazil.
    – 14 x South American Champions. The record.

Uruguay really is the Liverpool of South America. Hell, their top club, Penarol is basically considered historically in the same regard as South America’s equivalent.
They ARE football history. I love how they play with so much heart and pride.
Just glad to have 1 of their lads playing for us.
