The Fear Factor

With the new season racing upon us and anticipation growing, every Liverpool fan will be dreaming of titles, cups and a Champions League spot, but just how are we going to achieve this after past seasons of underachievement.

The answer lies with one man Kenny Dalglish, Kenny has brought something back to Liverpool that was missing..The Fear Factor, it has served Manchester Utd and Alex Ferguson well, in fact they have won title after title with this weapon of mass destruction, under Dalglish we have it and Ferguson knows it.

The truth is that since Dalglish left no Liverpool manager has installed fear in Man Utd since, and boy have they capitalised on this, in the past teams treated Liverpool with respect but not fear and that has cost us dearly over the years, Ferguson does fear Dalglish and will fear Liverpool if Dalglish gets this team winning, proof of this was evident towards the end of last season under Kenny, so many teams fear Utd even when they are two goals up they seem to buckle and fall apart as if they are too scared to win and we all know how good Utd are at digging out a result even in certain defeat, that is the power of The Fear Factor.

Now we all have to be honest and look at this with a degree of sensibility and reality because this alone won’t win us the title but it will increase the chances of success tenfold, Anfield needs to be a place of utter fear for every opponent that arrives and on our travels we need to install a component that only champions hold, the winning mentality, even if the team isn’t playing well but have the ability and belief that we can get a result no matter what.

Dalglish has all the right qualities to give Liverpool the very best chance of success but the whole team has to believe that other teams fear them and when players and teams sense and act on The Fear Factor there performance will improve beyond recognition, Dalglish has proven that he can get the very best out of what players he has available by giving them mental belief and confidence which they haven’t been given by previous managers.

With the new signings arriving and some of the underachieving players moving on, Dalglish will home in on his squad and get them believing once more that Liverpool can be winners and we can be a real threat in the Premier League, we don’t have any European football to side track us and no financial worries to unsettle the squad or management just concentrate on the job in hand which is to focus on getting Liverpool into a position to challenge for the top honours again and with Kenny’s managerial skills and The Fear Factor Liverpool will once again be back where they belong, and will become a team of Winners.

  1. i get your point except the title of the article gives the opposite impression to how i perceive it, Kenny is not thinking about making the opposition scared, as much as he has re-introduced a “FUN factor” players seem to be enjoying the game and playing footy ball as a team , liking each other and supporting their RED mates as the game should be played” Kenny has the confidence and positivity in his own mentality to spread that throughotu the squad..his positive energy comes through whether in press interview, @ melwood or in games themselves …keeping his motivation positive means the opposition will ANYway worry about us , I think one of the “moments” of last season was when he was joking with young Jack Robinson before sending him on @ the emirates…
