Former Liverpool player John Barnes admits that Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is not immune from criticism after Sunday’s defeat to Newcastle saw the Anfield side fall to a sixth Premier League defeat in seven games.
Whilst admitting that the club’s league form has been “disappointing”, the former winger believes Liverpool will benefit by continuing to show support for their manager.
Leave Kenny alone. Every project needs time to mature and achieve real success. This is just the first full season for KK. Give him time, be patient and we will reap the best harvest ever.
Just look at Fergusson at ManU. They gave him five years before any major trophy. We should do the same.
Kenny may have made mistakes, both tactically and in buying some players. But that is the nature of the game, you win some and you lose some. And I have an inkling that the so-called “flops” brought into the team by Kenny will eventually prove us all wrong.
Yes all the club should be behind him the rebuilding job will take a little time
