An early goodbye to Jamie Carragher

Posted by

Jamie Carragher, football fans and especially Liverpool fans will remember him for a long time. Our iconic vice-captain, 35, will retire at the end of the current season.

In a course of a carrer which last more than 26 years with Liverpool, he won everything. Everything except the league title, a huge disapointment for a player of his caliber. But this is the only one downside in his red career. Motivator, leader and first sergeant of the Captain Gerrard, Carragher has remained faithful his whole career to his beloved football club.

Another thing, even rarer, he gave up his international career to only focus on Liverpool. Jamie Carragher will be remembered for his fantastic display against Milan in that epic final of 2005. But also for his shouts ont the pitch, for his accent, and of course, for those two tackles on Phil Neville and Luis Nani.

This year, Liverpool is out of the three cups they were involved in, the league title has once again been a dream too far for the reds, so what could we expect. Everybody at Anfield would love to see Carragher score to celebrate his last year, let’s hope.

Only one thing is sure, in Merseyside, James Lee Duncan Carragher will never walk alone !
