Cutting in from the left onto his right foot, Markovic found the bottom corner from outside of the area, having just completed a rather poor debut season with Liverpool since his £20m (via BBC Sport) move last summer…
Markovic struggled for game time in 2014/15, and was used in a variety of positions which similarly made it difficult for him to find form.
Let’s hope this goal is a sign of things to come, and that he can make a real impact next term.
