1) Phil Thompson – 1998-2004
The club legend took a break from his punditry work to join up with Gerard Houllier at Anfield, and spent a number of years with us.
He even took over managerial duties for a while, and enjoyed some success.
Thompson went back to punditry following Houllier’s departure, and has been working with Sky ever since.
