Summer signing XI – how we could line up with Firmino, Milner, Clyne, and co

RAM) Coutinho

Our player of the season, Coutinho has gone from strength to strength since his arrival at Anfield. The diminutive Brazilian is already one of the Premier League’s finest, and there is no telling how high he can go.

He is arguably most comfortable as a No.10, but with the arrival of Firmino Brendan Rodgers may have to switch things around to fit all our stars into the team.

LAM) Adam Lallana

Lallana took a while to settle into life in Liverpool, and injuries didn’t exactly help. He was starting to look more like the player we signed from Southampton towards the end of the season however, and he will hopefully continue to improve in 2015/16.

He’s arguably the only natural choice for the left-wing, but there are plenty of right-footed players who could cut inside from the left.

ST) Danny Ings

The former Burnley man is unlikely to be our first choice throughout the season, but he should get some game time at least until Daniel Sturridge returns.

He isn’t the marquee signing that many were hoping to see, but he is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League.

We currently still have Fabio Borini, Mario Balotelli, and Rickie Lambert on our books, but you would expect Ings to start ahead of all three of them.
