Bosnian newspaper claims Jurgen Klopp & Zeljko Buvac have agreed to take charge of Liverpool

Pravdabl, a Bosnian newspaper, claimed this morning that Jurgen Klopp & Zeljko Buvac have agreed to take over from Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool, with the German as manager and the Bosnian his assistant.

Interestingly the story was released in Bosnia this morning, before Liverpool officially announced the sacking of the Northern Irishman – hinting that Buvac, a Bosnian who worked under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund for seven years, has leaked the news in his homeland.

There’s no indication as to the reliability of Pravdabl, so we cannot confirm the story, but it’s a large, official news outlet – not just a sports blog.

The potential news will be tremendously exciting for Liverpool fans pining after the charismatic Klopp to succeed fired Rodgers – whose final match in charge was drawn today at Goodison Park.

Klopp’s been out of work since leaving Dortmund in the summer, as has his long serving assistant.

Carlo Ancelotti and Frank de Boer have also been linked, but it appears the German is the heavy, heavy favourite.
