Original French reports claim Liverpool have made first contact with PSG for Lucas Moura

It’s very nearly approaching transfer rumour silly season, and we’re sure hundreds of players will be randomly linked to Liverpool in the coming months.

When a foreign source publishes an original though, we’ll give it a little more attention, especially when it’s a name as exciting as Lucas Moura.

Le10Sport exclusively claim that Liverpool have already sounded out French champions PSG about the possibility of signing the Brazilian flyer.

The report says that Moura is happy in Paris, but with Angel di Maria, Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of him in the front-three pecking order, he’s not decided on his future, despite signing a new deal in June.

Moura is 23-years-old and has all the talent in the world. He burst onto the scene in his homeland for Sao Paulo, and PSG splashed mega bucks to sign him in 2013. The winger has done well in France, but not yet developed into the world-class attacker many assumed he would’ve by now.

Still, his ferocious pace and dazzling skills would make him a superb option for Liverpool if he was indeed available, especially considering we lack natural left wingers.

The thought of Moura and Jordon Ibe either side of Coutinho at no.10 is mouthwatering, but we shouldn’t get ahead ourselves with this one.

He’s contracted until 2019, and despite Le10Sport’s claims, can’t see PSG wanting to sell any time soon.
