Klopp praises FSG after ticket price back-down

Jurgen Klopp has praised our owners FSG for their swift and decisive action in the wake of the ticket price protest at Anfield last weekend.

Thousands of supporters left the ground in the 77th minute after the club unveiled controversial £77 tickets ahead of the 2016/17 season.

It only took three days for the owners to act and reverse the decision, and they also cancelled the long-standing policy of game categorisation for good measure.

“I know our owners as people. They really care about the club and the interests of the supporters,” he said (via Echo).

“That’s how I’ve known the owners to be since I’ve been here. In the world of football it’s difficult to be an owner of a club and to prove you really are interested in the club.

“But I know it, and I’ve only been here for four and a half months.”
