Ridiculous Daily Mail headline slaughtered by Liverpool & England fans alike

Sometimes this paper infuriates us beyond belief.

England drew 0-0 last night with Slovakia, despite completely dominating our Group B opponents from start to finish with 29 shots on goal.

We’ve qualified, and while we could’ve done with topping the group – we’re still very much in the tournament.

But the Daily Mail ran a headline in which they blamed the draw on right-back Nathaniel Clyne, for not diving in the penalty area…

In the second-half, the Liverpool defender broke into the box and despite strong attention, managed to get a shot off on target.

Rather than praise Clyne for staying on his feet, the Daily Mail claimed he ‘cost’ is country by being honest.

Imagine what they’d have gone with had Marek Hamsik, for instance, taken a tumble in our box…?

Madness.
