Liverpool take on Chelsea this Friday at Stamford Bridge, and our starting centre-half Dejan Lovren is in a race against time to make the trip.

It was our longest serving player’s fault we conceded, although by the rules – Jamie Vardy’s goal should have been ruled out as the ball hadn’t left the penalty area.

Still, it would be nice to bring Lovren back alongside Joel Matip, as we’ll need to be at our very best to contend with the country’s in-form striker Diego Costa…

We hope the pair can form a solid partnership this term, as with our attack – a watertight defence behind it would provide the foundation for a pretty exceptional team.
