We have 12 players out on loan this season (really, we do, count them!) – but perhaps the most well-known and high-profile of them all is Serbian winger Lazar Markovic.
It’s the £20 million man’s second consecutive season away from Anfield after he failed to convince Klopp of his merits during the pre-season.
He eventually put pen to paper on a season-long move to Portugal with Sporting Lisbon, and he made his debut in the Portuguese capital this weekend. He came on as a second half sub as Sporting thumped Moreirense 3-0 on Saturday (Echo).
The result leaves the side top of the Primeira Liga after four games with a 100 percent winning record. They are two points clear of Sporting Braga and Benfica, who are second and third respectively.
What is your opinion on Markovics’ future? He is obviously a talented footballer, but does he have the necessary attributes to ever be part of a “Klopp team”?
