Liverpool’s Marko Grujic finds himself in great company in terms of being surrounded by a number of talented midfielders to learn from as he looks to develop his own game.

The 20-year-old arrived on Merseyside in July and has already been tipped to be a star following some standout performances in pre-season friendlies for the first team and some league matches for the U23s side.

When discussing the chance to watch and train alongside his midfield teammates, he told Liverpoolfc.com: “Of course, I try to learn and see how our other midfielders work – Adam, Jordan, Gini and everyone are very good in defensive abilities.”

“That’s what I try to learn and save in my mind and use. That’s important for young players, to try to learn from the older guys.”

“We have such a good team and good players. We have played very well at the start of the season. Our position shows how strong we are.”

A chance to learn from three midfielders such as Adam Lallana, Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum sets him in good stead in terms of in-cooperating a range of techniques and traits into his position as a central midfielder.

Grujic already possesses the power and the energy capable of helping him succeed in a division as physical as the Premier League. The difficult part is adapting to the speed and the aggression of England’s highest level.

It’s great to see how much attention he is paying to what those around him are doing, especially given how well Liverpool’s midfielders have been playing so far this season.

He has the time on his hands to continue observing and working to improve his game from behind the scenes and is playing under the best manager to both monitor and assist his progress.
