Liverpool’s interest in 32-goal striker is real & scouts watched him on Sunday

Liverpool were one of many elite European clubs watching Celtic’s rising star Moussa Dembele at the weekend during the Old Firm Derby.

The 20-year-old Frenchman has notched 32 goals in all competitions this season, but was quiet on Sunday, failing to score for the first time in seven matches. During the previous six games he’d notched 11 times!

Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and PSG are paying close attention to Dembele, so there’ll likely be some fierce competition for his services come the summer.

Celtic are a stepping stone club for a player of Dembele’s talents, and he could well become a Premier League star like Victor Wanyama and Virgil Van Dijk before him.

Dembele is pacy and appears a clinical finisher, but he’s not the experienced marksman who’ll guarantee us a 20-goal Premier League season.

Spurs have Harry Kane, City have Aguero, United have Zlatan and Chelsea have Costa – all strikers in or around their prime (bar Ibrahimovic who’s somehow still bagging goals aged 35).
