This is nice to hear… Liverpool showing some financial muscle!

According to Spanish outlet AS, we’re offering a big wage to lure French talent Theo Hernandez to Anfield this summer…

Three times more than Real Madrid, in fact.

The 19-year-old currently plays for Alaves at left-back, on loan from Atletico Madrid.

So impressive has he been, Real Madrid want to buy him, as do Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Marseille – but Liverpool believe we can beat the European giants by offering an increased chance of first-team football and a bigger pay-packet.

Hernandez is a mighty fine prospect… He’s rapid, creative but has a steely, aggressive side and doesn’t commit defensive suicide like his countryman Alberto Moreno – who could leave this summer after making just two Premier League starts all campaign.

James Milner has done well, in the most part, but a natural left-footer who can play the position long-term is key.

Jurgen Klopp decided not to buy a proper left-back last summer, but has little choice to this – with the Englishman found out on too many occasions this year.
