Liverpool fans desperate for goals and urge Klopp to start ‘one who does it best’

Liverpool fans have taken to social media in their numbers to urge Jurgen Klopp to start one man in particular in next weekend’s crucial game against West Ham.

An incredibly lacklustre performance against Southampton from Divock Origi, and the entire team for that matter, has sparked Reds to demand that Daniel Sturridge be given a start in Liverpool’s penultimate Premier League game.

It only needed a 20 minute cameo for Sturridge to be more productive in the attacking third than most of those who started had been in the entire match. He looked sharp, equipped to break down a packed Saints defence and man eager to get himself back on the score-sheet.

It will be difficult for Klopp himself to deny that the striker deserves to be given an opportunity, especially with only two games remaining for Sturridge to remind potential suitors and maybe even Liverpool of his undeniable talent.

Scoring goals is what he does best and there is a case at the moment for the idea he works just as hard as Origi does. Grant him the freedom to stay in and around the opposition box and he promises scoring opportunities.

The fans have had their say and the feeling is seemingly mutual. Sturridge has to start.
