LFC ace ridiculed for shoddy England display: ‘Klopp will ask for receipt’

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain came in for a lot of stick last night as England beat Slovakia 2-1 at Wembley.

The result puts Gareth Southgate’s side as good as through, but the performance was again less than impressive, following the drab display in Malta a few days ago…

Oxlade-Chamberlain started on the right and was eventually moved to the left, but struggled in both roles.

He won the ball a few times but his decision making was poor and he continually gave possession away as well.

For Liverpool, he’s likely to be used in one of the advanced central midfield spots, only utilised wide as backup to Sadio Mane or Mo Salah – so we shouldn’t judge him too much on last night’s outing.

What he needs is multiple sessions under Jurgen Klopp and instructions from the tactically exceptional German on how to maximise his talents.

We reckon that these tweeters will be eating their words come the end of the season.
