Liverpool have received a belated boost regarding the future of Ryan Sessegnon having previously been a frontrunner in the pursuit of the teenager.

The Fulham teenager has again been linked with a summer move to the Premier League having notched a remarkable 14 goals in the Championship so far this season.

It’s worth noting he has also been regularly deployed in an advanced role having started his career as a left-back, evidencing the attacking quality that continues to lure interest from England’s top teams.

Sessegnon has now outlined Anfield as his preferred destination of Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham, according to the Daily Express.

The youngster has also been tipped as an outsider to catch the eye of England manager Gareth Southgate as he prepares for this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.

At 17-years-old, Sessegnon is barely into his first professional contract but has surfaced as one of the stars of England’s second tier.

He was a notable target for Jurgen Klopp at stages leading up to last summer’s transfer window, although eventually made the wise decision to continue his development at Craven Cottage for at least another season.

Since then, he has also been touted as a possible eventual replacement for Danny Rose at Tottenham.

His transition into an attacking role may bode well in granting him his Liverpool wish, with the superb Andrew Robertson proving extremely difficult to dislodge at left-back in his current form on Merseyside.
