Liverpool have been priced as 6/4 favourites to sign Sevilla forward Wissam Ben Yedder after his superb performance to knock Manchester United out of the Champions League this week.
To be honest, we question the reliability of the claim, which comes from bookies BetStars as they most likely look to attract attention from Liverpool fans after Ben Yedder’s role in knocking their rivals out of Europe.

While there’s certainly room at Liverpool for a quality attacker like that, it’s perhaps unlikely to be a number one priority for us this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has more pressing needs in goal, in defence and probably in midfield if Emre Can does not renew his contract.
A BetStars spokesperson is quoted by the Daily Star: “Liverpool will look to move for Wissam Ben Yedder in the summer, the man who sensationally knocked United out of the Champions League at Old Trafford.
“Ben Yedder is the second top scorer in the Champions League this season, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, and it appears the striker could be on his way to Anfield to bolster Liverpool’s already devastating attacking line-up.
“The Reds are priced at just 6/4 to sign Wissam Ben Yedder from Sevilla.”
We’ll leave it to you to decide, but until it’s widely reported from more reliable sources, we have major doubts about this one.
Still, it could be one for the club to mull over if Klopp does decide to add depth to the front three next season – at least we know he likes a goal at Old Trafford!
