Klopp reveals Troy Deeney’s classy Anfield dressing room gesture

Troy Deeney is lots of things…

One of them, is brutally honest!

The English striker is renowned for his post-match analysis of Watford’s opponents, once famously slamming Arsenal for lacking ‘cojones’.

But after Liverpool dismantled the Hornets 5-0 at Anfield on Saturday, their skipper made a point to congratulate Jurgen Klopp and his players.

“He was waiting for all the players when we came in,” Klopp said, cited in the Mirror. “He was waiting and clapped hands with all of them.

“I didn’t know about that but he was really waiting, even for me.”

Fair play, Deeney.

In fairness, the forward didn’t really get a kick, with Liverpool running riot, mainly thanks to Mo Salah.

The Egyptian bagged four goals, which is only one less than Deeney has managed all season.

Next up for Liverpool is Crystal Palace after the international break, which will be a much tougher task than it might have been had Wilfried Zaha not returned to fitness.

The Ivorian is a menace, especially at Selhurst Park, and our defenders will need to be on top form to keep him quiet.
