Liverpool’s other two best players set to sign new deals after Firmino extension

Roberto Firmino yesterday put pen to paper on a bumper new deal that ties him to Liverpool for five more years.

The Brazilian has scored 27 goals in all competitions and has been nothing short of sensational this term.

Thankfully, his two exceptional team-mates will also extend their contracts soon.

James Pearce in the Echo, writes:

“Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the other members of the most potent three-pronged attack in the world, will also be rewarded with improved terms.”

This season, Salah has scored a jaw-dropping 43 goals and Mane’s got 18.

When one of them isn’t starting, we look an entirely less potent offensive force.

On Saturday, we drew 0-0 at home to Stoke, with Mane missing out. His replacement Danny Ings is sadly just nowhere near as good a footballer and it shows.

Hopefully, he’ll be back on Wednesday for our Champions League semi-final with AS Roma.
