Klopp invites imminent LFC signing to Champions League Final as a ‘boost’

Jurgen Klopp has informed Naby Keita that the Guinean is more than welcome to watch the Champions League Final in Kiev, should he want to!

The 23-year-old is officially joining Liverpool this summer after we struck a deal with Rb Leipzig in August 2017.

He’s had to remain in Germany for this campaign though, and has had mixed success – combining some world-class performances with a horrible disciplinary record.

Klopp though has no doubts about Keita’s suitability.

“If Naby wants to come to the final, then he is invited! He will have a big effect on the team immediately,” Klopp told the Telegraph.

“It has been a difficult year for Naby but he has still made some outstanding performances. He will have a full pre-season here, so hopefully that will help.”

Keita isn’t going to the World Cup so will have plenty of time to adapt to Klopp’s style and hit the ground running.

Virgil van Dijk’s Netherlands didn’t qualify either, so our biggest ever signing will also get the benefit of a full pre-season.

We fully expect Liverpool to further supplement the squad with elite talent, regardless of whether we beat Real Madrid in the final.

The current roster is threadbare through injuries and badly need enforcing, despite the incredible things they’ve achieved this term.
