Why Chelsea bought Ross Barkley and Danny Drinkwater last summer when they already had Ruben Loftus-Cheek on their books is anyone’s guess…
The former is injury prone and lacks belief or drive, while the latter is living off one good season and will be throughout his career.
But Loftus-Cheek is just 22-years-old and a key part of the England squad that’s started the World Cup in Russia so well…
He came off the bench against Tunisia and helped change the game, in fact.
According to the Guardian, the midfielder is considering demanding a permanent exit from Stamford Bridge after the tournament, regarding doubts about his playing time.
Loftus-Cheek is strong and imposing, technically very good, has an eye for a pass and plays in any number of positions in various formations.
Upon hearing the news, many Liverpool fans went to Twitter to speak up a potential deal for the starlet:
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has openly admitted that he doesn't want to be a Chelsea reserve next season. I would take him at Liverpool with open arms. A strong and powerful midfielder with many great years ahead. Would be a terrific signing for many clubs.

I genuinely think Liverpool should be looking at Ruben loftus-cheek as a possible replacement for Adam lallana in the squad.

I really like the look of Loftus Cheek. Would be a double surname buddy for TAA if he joined Liverpool

While we agree RLC is talented, we think the player would have the same issues at Anfield…
We’ve just signed Fabinho and Naby Keita, while have an interest in Nabil Fekir which isn’t going away. When you include an ever-improving Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain into that mix – there doesn’t seem to be much room at Liverpool either.
On top of this, Chelsea would demand massive money from a direct rival such as ourselves. This just isn’t a realistic one, in our opinion.
