John Percy: LFC set for £100m worth of transfers in two weeks

Liverpool are looking to cash in on a number of squad players and recoup some of the vast amounts of money we’ve spent this summer.

Naby Keita, Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alisson have arrived, while Virgil van Dijk signed in January – for a combined fee of well over £200m.

But according to John Percy in the Telegraph, the focus will now be on shipping out some deadwood – and that Liverpool could actually make £100m before the window closes on August 8.

He suggests the following players are for sale, and has even stated the amount Liverpool want for some of them: Divock Origi (£27m), Danny Ings (£20m), Sheyi Ojo (£15m), Lazar Markovic, Pedro Chirivella and Loris Karius.

But we reckon Simon Mignolet is also up for sale, as the Belgian won’t fancy being a backup for the entire season again.

With Karius no longer a viable option, Mignolet likely to exit and Danny Ward already sold, we actually think Liverpool need to buy a new stopper in case of injury or suspension to Alisson.

We’d also take a playmaker and perhaps a central defender, given the fact Joel Matip is injury prone, but are willing to accept Klopp’s judgement on this!
